Omg that Lamb was so delicious! Got the GF lamb plate take away and it was amazing. So much food, I didn't need it all but i couldn't stop!
Had the Minotaur banquet for 2. The dishes were hit or miss for us. Meze dips were nice except for the slightly sweet Hommus. Dolmades was delicious but the cheese/zucchini croquettes were average. The lamb & chicken meat for mains was good. Dessert was an underwhelming panacotta cheese.
All in all, the lows and highs combined to a above average experience for us, certainly not memorable but worth a visit.
I had my 30th birthday dinner at Urban Greek and they were absolutely amazing. The food was absolutely delicious but even better was the wonderful service and friendly staff. We had a group of 17 and they catered wonderfully to us especially with one of our friends being vegetarian. Nothing was too much of a problem and they helped make my birthday night so special. 10/10.
My partner and I visited for dinner on our first night in Hobart. We were blown away by the amazing service and food! It was so delicious! We had one of the feasts and took the dessert home to eat later- couldn’t recommend this place more highly!
Wow, have come over for a holiday from w.a. Staff were amazing, food was amazing, no wonder this place is so busy, would absolutely recommend it to everyone. You guy's are awesome, definitely an 11/10
Sept 2022: Urban Greek continues to exceed all expectations. Food is always super delicious and staff are always reliability friendly, and know the menu and portion sizes.
The value for money here is extremely good, and you will never leave this venue hungry.
One thing I’ve grown tired of, is ordering a food item, only for it to taste exactly how I expect it too. I’ve been craving for a surprise in my palette for the longest time, and I can confidently say that Urban Greek has delivered!
We got the $65 pp Banquet, and it was a feast fit for at least 4 people, surely! The amount of food was surprising, the delicately curated tastes, unexpected, but appreciated!
The service was above exceptional. The individuals who served us were always super kind, giving us the run down about the meals and food items. I feel like this experience is one I can think back to as one of the greatest eateries I’ve yet to discover!
Oh, and the cocktail ? “Peanut Butter Cup” is 10/10, would highly recommend it.
Great Greek food in the heart of Hobart. We had one of the banquets, and there was more than enough for us all staff was really friendly and more than happy to recommend different options.
I tried banquet with my friends. The course was amazing, healty and well balanced. In the banquet menu, it literally includes everything from salad, entrees to grilled meats. Impressed the way they treat food and the relaxed atmosphere. Very recommended for family or couple for special day. Felt like I ate bunch of medicine not just food. Felt very happy and healthy.
Interesting place. The dolmades were the best I have had including those in Greece. The dips were definitely from Crete.
Good food. Good service. I just can say five stars.
